FSG resumes work on Searoad ferry

After a long pause, FSG Shipyard has restarted work with the “firing start 2.0” for the 210m RoRo ferry ordered by Australian shipping company Searoad. The vessel is set for delivery in 2026.

The firing of the weather deck (module C57, section 43), 23m above the keel, was attended by FSG CEO Thorsten Rönner and Tony Johnson, Searoad’s Technical Marine Manager. “This is more than a project launch—it’s a new beginning for FSG,” the company stated, emphasizing Flensburg’s future in shipbuilding.
