Time is running

Time is running out to get involved in this year’s Motorship Propulsion and Future Fuels (PFF) event which is taking place in Hamburg next month from 19-21 November. It is the 45th PFF this year, marking it as the longest running technical event in the maritime sector.

This year’s hotly anticipated event will see over 200 attendees from 30 countries discussing the key topics for the maritime industry’s task to decarbonise by 2030 and 2050.

These guests include leading figures from classification societies and equipment manufacturers. Hear discussions on decarbonisation, solutions for the short term (2030), safety concerns arising from new technologies and advances in lubrication. There will be in-depth talks on specific future fuels such as ammonia, methanol and hydrogen as well as discussions on changing regulatory policy.

Making a welcome return this year is The Motorship Award, which will judged at the event by delegates on the first day and announced at the conference dinner. This year’s entrants include two wind propulsion specialists Anemoi Marine Technologies and Bound4Blue, as well as last year’s winner ABB and Germany’s own CM Technologies.
