State-of-the-art logistics in Rotterdam

Samskip and Matrans Rotterdam Terminal are proud to announce the launch of their new terminal and future hub in Rotterdam.

Rotterdam is a key hub for many maritime companies, including for Samskip’s network, and together with partner Matrans, they are developing a green terminal to enhance customer-centric operations.

This terminal will centralize Samskip’s and Matrans’ containerized and breakbulk transport, improving control over vessel, rail, and barge operations to reduce inefficiencies and costs.

Hans Vervat, Matrans Rotterdam Terminal owner said: We feel proud to take this meaningful step towards the future with a terminal that is sustainable by design and that will serve as an integrated hub in Rotterdam.

Focusing on sustainability, the terminal will feature electrified vehicles, shore power, and solar energy, reducing environmental impact and CO2 emissions.

“Meaningful step towards the future with a terminal that is sustainable by design and that will serve as an integrated hub in Rotterdam.

Digital solutions will optimize transport and operations, enhancing efficiency and reliability across the supply chain, and supporting Samskip’s and Matrans’ commitment to sustainability and customer satisfaction.
