Schwandt takes the helm at Schottel
Roland Schwandt has taken over the management of drive specialist Schottel. He succeeds Stefan Kaul, while Christian Bock becomes Deputy Managing Director. Kaul will focus on production and materials management for the Dörth and Wismar sites.

With Schwandt and Bock, company leadership moves to long-standing managers. Schwandt, who joined in 2000, advanced from project manager to roles leading the Tug & Offshore Energy segment, global sales as Vice President Sales, and from January 2024 Deputy Managing Director responsible for customer business.
Bock began his career in 2006 at SSPC in Suzhou, a former Schottel site in China. After finance management roles there, he moved to Spay as Head of Controlling & IT and later became Vice President Finance & Administration.
Kaul joined in 1989, held senior research and hydrodynamics roles, and became CTO in 2007, overseeing all engineering. “Since becoming Managing Director in 2018, he has strategically guided Schottel to a strong market position,” says Andreas Block of Schottel Industries. “We thank him for his exceptional commitment and welcome his continued role in a key position.”
