MARPRO opens a new office in Athens

MARPRO, the global specialist in recruitment in the shipping and maritime industry, has exciting news to share. Today, the company announced the opening of its new office in Athens, Greece.

Headed up by the newly appointed Branch Manager Christopher Kontraros, MARPRO’s new office in Athens is up and running. The new office will focus on Search & Selection services while exploring further potential growth for the recruitment business. With his extensive industry knowledge and experience, Christopher is the perfect fit to lead the Athens office and drive success for MARPRO in the region.

This exciting development is the third of its kind, taking the MARPRO Group to further expansion and setting its footprint in one of the biggest maritime nations. As well as adding new competencies across the MARPRO Group, this international expansion will position MARPRO to better support both current and new clients with relevant employees or business partners in the Balkan Peninsula.

The launch of the new office comes in response to growing customer demand for maritime recruitment services from clients in the region, as well as extending a hand to companies seeking expert maritime recruitment services and support. With a team of experienced recruiters, MARPRO has made a name for itself in the industry, and with their global reach and local expertise, MARPRO is well-positioned to help their clients navigate the challenges of the industry and find the right people to grow  their business.

MARPRO’s expansion into Athens is not only a testament to the success of the company, but also a sign of the importance of the shipping and maritime industry in Greece. Greece has always been a crucial market for the maritime and shipping industry, especially when it comes to global shipping. In fact, Greek ship owners’ control 20% of the worldwide fleet in capacity, a remarkable achievement that has attracted the attention of leading players in the industry. Establishing an office in Greece is a smart move for MARPRO because it allows them to tap into the country’s extensive shipping network and ecosystem.

Christopher Kontraros, the Branch Manager in Greece, expressed his excitement about the new opening: “Often enough in the past I found myself spending endless time trying to find a better, faster and more efficient way to do research and find appropriate solution to a task at hand. With MARPRO I am excited to find that this research has been implemented and the method proven to work. This new, modern and out of the box recruitment model certainly saves time and expenses, but most importantly helps achieve the hiring of the most suited candidate. I am extremely happy to join MARPRO at this confluence time!”
