SAFETY4SEA, Europort once again join forces to present a set of 15 prestigious award
After their successful partnership in 2019, SAFETY4SEA & Europort are pleased to announce that the 2023 SAFETY4SEA EUROPORT Awards will be presented this November, within the scope of fostering Sustainable Shipping.
In particular, Europort, the leading international exhibition that will take place in Rotterdam November 7-10, 2023, is partnering once again with SAFETY4SEA to stage a series of special awards focusing on three specific themes – digital shipping; energy transition; and human capital. The awards seek to promote sustainability, recognize excellence, innovation, and best practices, and raise industry’s profile to maritime stakeholders and the future generation of shipping.
In that regard, there will be a total of 15 Awards presented at events during the exhibition days, with five categories within each of the three thematic headings, as follows:
- GREEN4SEA – EUROPORT Awards ceremony is due on 8th November to honor organizations that have contributed towards Clean Shipping, Energy Transition, Technology, Initiative and Ship Design.
- SMART4SEA – EUROPORT Awards ceremony is due on 9th November to honor organizations that have contributed towards Smart Shipping, Cyber Security, E-Navigation, Technology and Autonomous Shipping.
- CAREER4SEA – EUROPORT Awards ceremony is due on 10th November to honor organizations that have contributed towards Crew Welfare, Diversity & Inclusion, Education and individuals (New Generation and Personality Awards) that have achieved a remarkable career milestone in shipping or acting as a role model to attract new talents.

The awards’ process includes a combination of open nomination and voting which provides a unique opportunity for all nominees to get acknowledged for the hard and good work they put into their projects and initiatives, worth to be awarded. At the end of the awards’ presentations, there will be a panel discussion with the winners.
