Blue focus on the green transition
During climate week (week 38), Blue Denmark has a special opportunity to debate the green transition and what it requires of the maritime area. For this reason, industry players and new young talents will meet each other for IMM22 in an innovative fair in Svendborg.
Network and innovation will be the the focus areas once the doors open to the ‘Innovative Maritime Fair’ – IMM22 – in the Rundbuehallerne on 20 September at 11-20 in Svendborg. Keynote speaker is Kjeld Aabo – Director of New Technologies, Two-stroke Sales and Promotion MAN ES.
Danmarks Radio (DR) economics correspondent Casper Schrøder is the moderator of the panel debate taking place: “What does the green transformation require of the ‘Blue Denmark’?”, where investor, chairman and owner of Visti Unlimited Thomas Visti, journalist Peter Hesseldahl – Head of Innovation & Partnerships at DFDS Mads Bentzen Billesø, Director of Education at SIMAC Jan Askholm and Kjeld Aabo will participate.
Svendborg Municipality’s business manager Søren Bach-Hansen says:
“IMM22 is an important event, because it cements that the maritime sector is crucial to Svendborg and South Funen. It is part of our cultural heritage and DNA, but to a large extent also part of our business’ future and a huge potential with Sydfyn as a maritime powerhouse”.
The visitors will meet 45 exciting maritime and innovative exhibition stands and hear pitches from SIMAC students. SIMAC has won the DM in Entrepreneurship seven times and presents two companies at IMM22, respectively. ‘Relight’ and ‘LIPO TOP’.
Nikolaj Jacobsen – national coach for the Danish men’s national handball team – will inspire those present with a management talk. Afterwards the rest of the day will be packed with networking.
The IMM22 is organized by both private and public forces. Nevertheless, all profits from the fair go to Mercy Ships Denmark.
