Rickmers company Searenergy takes over Hemmerschütz Solutions
Searenergy, part of the ASSC Group of the Rickmers family, is expanding its offshore service portfolio through the acquisition of Hemmerschütz Solutions, a maintenance and repair specialist based in Toppenstedt.

SeaRenergy Offshore Holding, co‑founder of Windward Offshore, announced the purchase of 100% of the shares, effective November 28, 2025. The company states the acquisition strengthens its position as a full-service provider for offshore wind projects.
Hemmerschütz Solutions brings expertise in offshore maintenance and repair. Until now, Searenergy has focused on engineering, marine services and QHSE. By adding corrosion protection, welding, concrete repairs and rotor, tower and foundation services, the company aims to broaden its offering and improve resilience against project‑cycle fluctuations. Demand for repair and maintenance work in offshore wind farms remains high even when new-build activity slows.
CEO Benjamin Vordemfelde said the goal is to future‑proof the business and open new project opportunities, while enhancing the company’s attractiveness as an employer in a rapidly growing market. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Hemmerschütz Solutions will gain access to larger offshore projects, long-term customers and new markets. Managing Director Mark Thomaschütz noted that their services will remain clearly identifiable but will become part of integrated solutions developed jointly with SeaRenergy, giving the team a stronger organizational base and access to more complex offshore wind work.
