Milestone for the green hydrogen economy

Quest One, a subsidiary of MAN Energy Solutions, has opened a new “Gigahub” in Hamburg for automated production of electrolysis stacks, marking a major milestone for the hydrogen economy.
The facility, inaugurated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, aims to boost green hydrogen availability through series production of PEM electrolysis stacks, cutting production time by 75%.
This high-tech hub supports the industrial-scale production of green hydrogen, a key element in the energy transition. With a capacity of over five gigawatts annually, the Gigahub will help make green hydrogen a viable alternative to fossil fuels and contribute to reducing global emissions.
The facility also highlights Hamburg’s role as a hydrogen leader in Germany, and MAN Energy Solutions aims to support the country’s energy transition and industrialization of sustainable technologies.
The Gigahub combines production, development, and training, further solidifying its position as a key player in the global hydrogen economy. For more information about this project, click here.
