The re-awakening of the maritime exhibition industry

MARPRO have signed with the Dutch maritime event organizer Ahoy, for a co-operation regarding the upcoming Europort exhibition in Rotterdam, running Nov. 2-5. 2021.

MARPRO will represent Europort, both for the main event in Rotterdam and Europort Romania. On top of this, MARPRO will host a start-up pavilion, for 12 carefully selected maritime rising stars, with great potential.

The relation between MARPRO and Europort is long standing, with close co-operation since 2014, where the owner of MARPRO was involved in building up a Danish maritime exhibition in Copenhagen and oversaw the event tree years in three consecutive years.

We believe that the market is longing for a physical exhibition and with Europort being the first major global maritime exhibition to be held post-pandemic, we believe that the exhibition will be a tremendous success. Jakob le Fevre, Managing Director MARPRO

Managing Director and owner of MARPRO Jakob le Fevre elaborates: “Ever since I started my shore based maritime sales career back in 2001, Europort has been on my radar, as a superb event to expand my network and perform business. When I started working with exhibitions myself, they where the first I approached for strategic partnership, since I have tremendous respect for the professionalism they demonstrate in the events that they are responsible for.”

He continues: “We have naturally carefully evaluated the risk for the covid-19 pandemic to influence the exhibition in 2021, but with sufficient measures like vaccine pass and quick tests in place, we now rest assured that it will not be a challenge. On the contrary, we believe that the market is longing for a physical exhibition and with Europort being the first major global maritime exhibition to be held post-pandemic, we believe that the exhibition will be a tremendous success. I have started MARPRO from scratch and have strong sympathy for all companies that start-up in the maritime industry. MARPRO will introduce a new concept to Europort, with a Maritime Rising Stars concept, where hand picked maritime start-ups with great potential will be invited to join. We will ensure massive press coverage, attention from investors and valuable advice to the selected companies.”

The Danish maritime cluster plays an important role in the international arena of maritime solutions. Raymond Siliakus, Manager Exhibitions

“Reinforcing our ties with Marpro is something I very much look forward to. MARPRO has strong experience in the marine industry and with their can-do mentality they have built a close maritime network in Denmark and beyond. The Danish maritime cluster plays an important role in the international arena of maritime solutions. We believe that Europort – being almost a ‘home match’ for Denmark – offers great potential to showcase innovation and expand business. And we believe MARPRO is the right connecting partner.” states Raymond Siliakus, Manager Exhibitions.
