Boosting maritime careers
Due to the industry’s high demand, SMM doubles the duration of its popular Maritime Career Market (MCM) to two days, allowing pupils and students as well as their accompanying teachers to have free admission on 5 and 6 September.
The stage is set for AI
SMM 2024 is the place to dive into AI and its capabilities for the maritime industry. Open to all visitors for the first time, the Maritime Future Summit on 4 September introduces leading experts who discuss the use of artificial intelligence from cloud-based condition monitoring, autonomous and semi-autonomous control systems and real-time tracking of loads to effective solutions to protect against cybercrime. Start-ups @SMM
There is no better setting than SMM for maritime start-ups to present their innovative strength to a global audience. To support the industry’s newcomers, they are grouped together in dedicated areas and benefit from a complete package that offers them the best conditions to present themselves and generate new leads.
Green Route
The Green Route is the biggest of six themed routes that are dedicated to topics of special interest at SMM 2024. The Green Route takes you to a selection of more than 70 pioneering exhibitors in various halls, that all offer groundbreaking solutions on the way to maritime decarbonisation and a more sustainable use of resources.
Women in maritime
The maritime industry offers excellent career opportunities for women who are ready to assert themselves in traditionally male-dominated environments. Organised by ASMI Women’s Wing and supported by SMM, this full-day event on 6 September 2024 will include two personal development workshops and a networking session, equipping women with skills and contacts for a successful career in the maritime sector. BUSINESSrun
Calling all runners – we’re excited to welcome BUSINESSrun to SMM 2024. Kick off your conference with quality networking and exercise with a run around the Alster Lakes for a meaningful cause.
