MARPRO is presenting the Rising Star of the week series. A series dedicated to innovative and promising maritime start-ups, which contribute to a smarter, cleaner, and safer maritime future. The series is based on the applicants for the Rising Stars Pavilion competition to participate in EUROPORT 2021.

 

A new concept is coming to life at EUROPORT 2021, the Rising Stars Pavilion powered by MARPRO. An area fully dedicated for promising maritime start-ups and next-gen innovators, where they can demonstrate how they contribute to a smarter, cleaner or/safer maritime future.

EUROPORT’s and MARPRO’s intention is to provide small start-ups a fair chance of showing their products and services to a large audience like EUROPORT is, for a budget friendly participation fee.

Since the news aired officially, the call to maritime start-ups has been answered and a great deal of interest has been shown to participate.

Terzago Robotics (e4boat) is an Italian company providing day to day operational service boats and supply vessels using green technology. Make acquaintance of Terzago Robotics in the following interview:

What is the idea behind Terzago Robotics (e4boat) and its services?

The main concept behind the start up is basically providing day to day operational service-boats, supply vessels and tenders using a green technology. At the moment, we are working on several projects including a boat service for one of the most beautiful national parks in Italy. In this solution, we package together; The design of the boat, which includes a specially designed hull that creates a much smaller operational footprint. A fully electric propulsion system, and also the charging system that will be also available to the general public. Upon completion of this project, we expect the majority of the national parks in Italy to follow suite and add Greener solutions to their existing fleets.

How can Terzago Robotics (e4boat) contribute to a smarter maritime future?

Here at Terzago Robotics we pride ourselves in both the systems that we make for our customers (full robotic portal for the construction of the hulls) and our own end products, the fact that we can use our own in-house know-how in order to contribute to a smarter, cleaner and safer maritime future.

How can Terzago Robotics (e4boat)  contribute to a cleaner or safer maritime future?

Using our own robots to construct our boats, not only do we reduce construction time, but we also reduce the wastage of materials used during the creation. We actively promote Green Solutions to our customers, and it is our intention to roll out our electric boats also into the fishing and tug markets. Creating a cleaner more sustainable future by reducing emissions.

Where is Terzago Robotics (e4boat) in 5 years from now?

The next 5 years will see a sharp increase of electric and hybrid vessels, especially in protected sea areas. With the increase of Stay-Cations the local market in Italy will be a huge factor in our company’s growth. We are actively working on projects in the Tourism, Fishing and Service markets, which upon completion will act as a springboard for us to expand our business profile on a larger scale both nationally and internationally. We expect the sales/usage of our Robotic Portal the “NaviSystem” to multiply significantly over the next 5 years.

How is Terzago Robotics (e4boat) organized, and who are the key people?

Based in the Port Town of La Spezia, 60 km North of Pisa. The innovative start up, has grasped the owner/founders love of the sea. Mr. Luca Terzago, oversees the local team comprising of Roberto Lubrano Lavadera, and Karl Armstrong. Using our own “NaviSystem” robotic portal located just outside La Spezia to construct and perfect the hull designs.

Competition is still running

Are you interested in participating in EUROPORT 2021 in Rotterdam, where you can show your products to a larger relevant audience for a budget friendly fee? Then get aboard!

Concept: The Rising Stars Pavilion is developed as a competition concept and applications are open to all maritime start-up companies, not older than 5 years.

Applications: We only have 12 packages available. These applications will be carefully reviewed by a committee of selected maritime business experts and the chosen companies will be informed as soon as applications are reviewed.

Evaluation criteria: Companies will be evaluated based on 4 criteria:

  • Growth potential
  • Innovation
  • Ambitions
  • Team
