Anschütz strengthens presence in the USA

Anschütz is strengthening its presence in North America with a new subsidiary in the USA. Anschuetz USA is to significantly expand sales, service and technical support for American shipyards, shipowners and authorities.

The German navigation expert Anschütz has established a new U.S. subsidiary, Anschuetz USA Inc., based in Bethesda, Maryland. The company continues the work of Anschütz of America and will enhance support for sales and service partners, commercial ship owners, shipyards, and government agencies including the Coast Guard, Military Sealift Command, Navy, and Army.

“Anschuetz USA lays the foundation for long-term growth and closer partnerships with U.S. shipyards and operators,” said Managing Director Matthias Buescher. “This investment strengthens customer support across North America and increases our flexibility.”

Focus on commercial and naval vessels
The subsidiary is building local expertise in navigation and bridge systems for newbuilds and refits while expanding its after-sales and service infrastructure. It will distribute navigation products for merchant and naval vessels in North America, with plans for future local manufacturing. The company will also advise customers on technical inquiries and classification requirements.

Greater storage capacity and improved infrastructure will enable faster service and delivery, with stronger technical support—especially for integrated bridge systems. The new branch will also deepen cooperation with existing U.S. and Canadian partners; Anschütz already maintains 30 certified service locations along North America’s coasts.

Anschütz offers a broad portfolio including gyrocompasses, autopilots, steering systems, radars, ECDIS, electronic logbooks, and integrated bridge systems, plus solutions for naval vessels, submarines, and autonomous navigation. More than 25,000 ships worldwide use Anschütz systems, supported by a global network with offices in Singapore, Panama, and other regions.
