Maritime security in focus at SMM

The maritime sector faces multiple threats, including armed conflicts in the Black and Red Seas, piracy, and illegal fishing, endangering trade and sea lanes globally. To address these issues, the MS&D Conference will be held on September 5-6, in cooperation with the German Maritime Institute (DMI), as part of the SMM event. This conference will gather political, industrial, scientific, and naval leaders to discuss maritime security and defense innovations and experiences.

The theme, “Challenges of Transition in the Naval and Maritime Domain,” will cover geopolitical challenges, technical responses to invasion threats, underwater infrastructure, dual-use technology, and trends in naval shipbuilding. Four panels and 20 presentations will feature high-profile speakers.
