Gelectric a Rising Star at Europort 2023

During the Europort exhibition 2023, set to take place in Rotterdam from 7th to 10th November, a selection of 21 maritime start-up companies from various countries will demonstrate their solutions. The MARPRO Group will once again host the Rising Stars Pavilion for the second time. Among the Rising Stars is Gelectric, a Dutch company. So, what is Gelectric all about, and which particular problem do they address? Learn more in this exclusive interview.

Gelectric, a company based in the Netherlands, is presently involved in providing digital IoT solutions for the maritime sector. Their primary objective is to establish Maritime 4.0. The company’s initial offering is a Predictive Maintenance system for electric engines. By the end of 2023, they aim to have their solution implemented on 20 different vessels, generating a monthly recurring revenue (MRR) of approximately €1000 per vessel. As a result, their total MRR is projected to reach €200,000.

The Gelectric team is comprised of CEO Efil Bengisu Saygi, a highly experienced maritime electrical engineer with over 10 years of expertise in the field, and CTO Riza Özdülger, an Industrial IoT engineer and software developer with more than a decade of experience.

This interview aims to provide insights into the advanced technology developed by Gelectric, as well as highlight the vision and expertise of their team.
