Since their launch in 2000 they have focused on growing their fleet of liquefied gas carriers, initially specializing in the handysize sector. They transport liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), petrochemical gases and ammonia for energy companies, industrial users and commodity traders.
With a new management team in place from 2006, the business has achieved rapid and sustained growth and they now own and operate the world’s largest fleet of handysize gas carriers.
In 2020 they expanded their presence on the value chain by opening a new ethylene export terminal in Houston, Texas, together with Enterprise Product Partners, which will better integrate their logistic services to their customers.
Shipping logistics are complex and fragmented; Navigator’s combined expertise and infrastructure is different.
They have chosen to play a big role in the semi-refrigerated ethylene handysize gas carrier segment building up the largest fleet and the best people to make gas transportation safe and reliable for their customers as possible; bringing expertise to their customers through their people, offering vessels that are highly flexible in transporting LPG, petrochemical cargoes such as ethylene, propylene and butadiene, as well as ammonia
They further streamline their oceangoing infrastructure with their on-shore ethylene export terminal enabling producers access to international markets and end-users the opportunity to diversify their sources of supply, improving the cost factors, robustness and reliability of the value chain.
Their Upstream and Downstream services work seamlessly with your existing infrastructure and their team of engineers, seafaring officers and senior directors are available on short notice to give advice and assistance to any existing or potential projects.
