A virtual meet and greet

Wencon ApS joins virtual tradeshow to meet up with customers as the SMM in Hamburg goes digital 2-5th February 2021.

2020 was not a year to meet and greet, but 2021 brings our first virtual gathering on the SMM and we look forward to trying out a new way of meeting our customers. Together with 35 other Danish companies from the marine industry, the Danish Export Association has created their own virtual space to meet up with potential and existing customers during the Digital SMM.

They won’t be serving open sandwiches in the Danish Pavilion this year, instead it might be your first experience with a virtual tradeshow? In this virtual universe, you can take a “walk” down the aisles and interact with the 36 Danish Marine companies, see their virtual trade booths, you can have a live chat with a company representative that is ready to chat behind their virtual avatar on the booth, all from the comforts of your home office.

Normally the Maritime Tradeshow in Hamburg, SMM brings in more than 50.000 visitors from 125 nations. We hope this number will skyrocket this year, since there are no travel restrictions, expensive hotel rooms or layover flights. We hope to be able to welcome visitors from all over the world that will take this opportunity to visit the Wencon Booth, along with the 35 other danish maritime companies that have joined in on this Virtual Danish Pavilion.

“We are very happy that the Danish Export Association has decided to take the digital SMM one step further while creating this Virtual Danish Pavilion. It is our first virtual event, and we have had to work fast to be ready, but I believe it will be one of many ‘firsts’ in our industry to come, as we have all had to adapt during the Corona pandemic.” Says Camilla Aalykke, Marketing & Communications Manager with Wencon ApS,

This trade show is all about making the best of a given situation, and it is therefore appropriate that we have chosen to focus on on-board solutions at our Virtual booth. A Wencon Repair Kit, will enable the crew to solve repair jobs and minor maintenance tasks themselves. These solutions have especially been in high demand during the COVID pandemic, as vessels around the globe were imposed with very strict quarantine regulations and were not able to let outside contractors on board to perform repairs.

Wencon will be attending with four Avatar Area Sales Managers, for the duration of 4 days the show is live.

It is free to attend, The Virtual Pavilion of Denmark is open to all and can be accessed without attending SMM Digital 2021. You may register here: https://www.ubivent.com/register/21/SMM2021
